Ra Mura is situated in a fantastic location on the west side of the island offering beautiful sunsets with excellent swimming and snorkeling. Turn off the main road and over a little bridge and 50 metres later you'll reach this very private hideaway. Nestled by lush native flora and fauna Ra Mura boasts a large wrap around verandah with views of white sand beaches and blue water framed by ancient ironwood trees. Numerous outdoor seating areas and a large BBQ encourage outdoor dining and entertainment, day and night.
Ra Mura reflects the owners eye for detail. Its indoor common area entertains 8 people at the dining table whilst still having ample space for a comfortable lounging area. Off the common area are two of the three bedrooms, two of which has an ensuite, all bedrooms have private access to the beachfront verandah. The master bedroom is through a small ante room (which also has two single beds), and takes up a full corner of the house with floor to ceiling windows and folding doors overlooking the lagoon.
Did I mention the kitchen? stainless steel benches and more. The overall feeling of the new improved Ra Mura is "house and garden meets tropical island", magic.
There are a number of shops and restaurants within easy walk of Ra Mura, and also a massive yard for everyone to play in.

We absolutely loved our stay and our host Eddie was very helpful leading up to our arrival. The best thing about this place is the location to the beach front, the private feeling on the large property with enough trees around the property to make it feel like there were no neighbours. We enjoyed sunsets on the beach and a few minutes walk down the beach was Shipwreck Hut Bar & Restaurant. The snorkelling off the beach was pretty good as well and if you have smaller children the natural pools by the stream at low tide would make for a fun safe family time in the water. The house had absolutely everything we needed, plenty of extra linen and towels the kitchen was very well equiped, the master bedroom was so big with lots of air flow. The other bedrooms also had doors that opened onto the deck for airflow. There were 3 bathrooms not all the same size but each with own toilet. Nearest good cafe was Beluga, great coffee!! We liked having our own place to stay in like a home rather than at a resort and enjoyed many fabulous meals as we are cooking lovers. We would return to this place if we were to come back.

“Our family chose to return to Rarotonga to celebrate the end of a long period of cancer treatment for one of our members and we wanted to be together for our stay. We chose Ra Mura because it could comfortably accommodate all of us, was super close to the lagoon on the sunset side of the island and the price was extremely competitive. Another factor in our decision was the superb and friendly service provided by Eddie during our preparations. The house was absolutely great in every respect and we arrived to a clean and freshly presented property. We had to ring Eddie about a problem with a ceiling fan and presto, he was at our doorstep within the hour whereupon he ordered a new fan which was installed within the day. Super service.
We would highly recommend Ra Mura for a family stay and you will not receive a more friendly & helpful service than that provided by Eddie from Rentraro.”

Hi Eddie,
I am totally in love with Rarotonga and the accommodation that my family and I stayed in at Ra mura was outstanding. The house itself was really well appointed and we each had our own extremely comfortable bedrooms. It was absolutely delightful. The location was to die for!! I honestly walked in to the property and felt like I was in paradise. Not a huge fan of swimming in the sea normally but you couldn’t get me out of that water. It was so warm and inviting and the beach was gorgeous.
